The American Cancer Society is focused on cost-savings measures to invest every dollar available into our lifesaving mission. In 2020, we had to make the hard decision to discontinue all t-shirt distribution, including event leadership team and survivor t-shirts. With these efforts, we were able to save over $2 million for the American Cancer Society with the hold on the t-shirt program.
For 2021, we are bringing back t-shirts using a proven redemption-based fundraising incentive tool through Relay Rewards. The goal of the Hope Club program is to motivate and encourage participants and survivors who find value in the t-shirts to fundraise and engage. The redemption-based program gives the participants the ability to choose the gift they are most interested in. Relayers who earn 100 points may apply those points towards a t-shirt or another gift item.
