2021 Relay Recruitment Blitz & Sign Up to Save Lives Sweepstakes Results

During the month of February, we charged Relayers from across the country to recruit teams to sign up for Relay For Life.  In normal years, 91% of fundraising teams are registered for events by the end of February. So we set some big goals and asked you to reach out and ask friends and family to join you. Since January 11, we have registered 4165 teams.  That is 70% of our goal for the end of February.

We also hosted a sweepstakes through February 16.  Any person registered for a 2021 website by February 16 was entered to win 1 of a few prizes.  Congratulations to our winners:
  • Gail Reynolds from Relay For Life of Knott County, KY – Winner of Apple Airpods
  • Cara Thomas from Relay For Life of Sarasota, FL – Winner of Apple Watch

ABOUT RELAY

The Relay For Life movement is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraiser dedicated to helping communities attack cancer. From team members to volunteers, we all want to remember those we’ve lost, help those affected today, and take action against cancer. Through funds donated, time given, or awareness raised, our communities are teaming up to make a difference, whether we’re connecting virtually or sharing space. When we rally together in the fight against cancer through this fun and inspirational event, we can accomplish anything.
